Extremely deep magnification (3.109x10^28) in the Mandelbrot set. If the unmagnified mandelbrot set is 1 dm long, with this magnification the set would reach more than twenty times beyond the visible universe!!!
Software: fractal eXtreme. No filters or postprocessing except being resized from 12800x9600 to 1024x768 resolution in Photoshop.
As I have mad a print of this one, there is a documentation (pdf-format) in Swedish [link] From page 4, you can follow the entire zoom sequence in 28 steps.
This is a wonderful piece of work and even though I don't understand a word of Swedish, I followed the illustrations in your document with complete fascination.
Thank you Gill! I am very honored for being placed among your favorites I am very glad you took the time to follow the illustrations I'm brand-new here and will select a motive from your own excellent gallery among my favorites within the nearest days (a little bit busy today)…
Oh wow, great zoom! I don't understand Swedish either but the pictures in the pdf were great. I have a big soft spot for very classic looking escape time fractals like this.
Thank you The pictures are the main purpose in the documentation. I think I am one of the last persons in the fractal community who publish escape fractals without any filters.

You are right. And extreme deep Mandelbrot magnification images, far beyond extended double precision, are yet more rare. One of the reasons is probably because they take a long time to render even with a fast computer. Often much faster to obtain pretty images with heavy filters, more of creation than research. Don't misunderstand me! I do not blame that kand of fractal works. I probably will publish some filtered fractals myself sometime.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
