Fractal Orgasm by FractalMonster Fractal Orgasm by FractalMonster
New! Download for 1960x1470

Rather deep magnification in a 2D-slice of the four dimensional cubic parameter space using the standard parameterizing z -> z^3 - 3a^2 z + b, critical points z = +a and z = -a

*a_real = 0
*a_imag = 0.7465
*b_real = #pixel (horizontal)
*b_imag = #pixel (vertical)

Only M- plotted (the motive entirely inside M+).

The same type of peacock-like patterns can be found at the border of the ordinary mandelbrot set, but the secondary decorations do not have any enclosed regions except for mini copies of the M set. No filters or postprocessing except anti-aliasing (from 6400 x 4800) and a little sharpening.

Ultra Fractal, formula Cubic Parameterspace3 in the sp3-module written by my dear friend Greenseng here at DeviantART. All his modules, as well as mine can be downloaded from [link]

Below the parameter file. Play and have fun :)

Fractal geometry is the math of the new science of chaos and complexity :omg: Below some recycled info about fractals:

First: Check out the zoom sequences (only images) from page 4 in the pdf's [link] and [link] . The end motives are my deviations [link] and [link] :D

Second: In my journal [link] you have some links to short cool fractal animations I stumbled over at YouTube

Third: If you wanna try some free simple fractal software, go to my journal [link] . You don't need to know the math behind :wow:

Fourth: Wikipedia has a nice site [link]

Fifth: Maybe you would appreciate my "Chaotic series of fractal articles" [link] if you have a little theoretical interest ;)

Hope you don't feel spammed ^^;

Yeah, it's both interesting and beautiful (I'm very satisfied with the colors) :) However as a part of a fiction it may be used very carefully :omg: :faint: :blush:

:aww: thank you so much :heart: This is maybe the most obscene of my fractals to use in fiction :blush: Fractals reminds of nothing and, at the same time, everything :omg: That's one of the things that make fractals so fascinating :wow: BTW, have you heard about fractals before?

This is one of the fractals I grasped after in a special situation for about nine years ago. You can find that pattern in the ordinary Mandelbrot set also, but I wanted to have secondary decorations with enclosed regions, it's the black chains, so I had to use my "cubic troll" [link] living in a four dimensional hyperspace :omg: On fact I found that motive very fast. And yeah, I am also very satisfied with the color map I rather fast came up with :)

Letting aside that this the most, ahem, happy fractal I've ever seen, I see 2 interesting areas within it: The "star" that is touched by these 4 red-black nearly symmetrical arms. And the "galaxy" that is also touched by similar red-black symmetrical arms, now with more black. Any chance to get a closer view on any of these? :D

Of cause it's possible :) But if I exceed the range of double precision it takews time to render (I dunno now cause I am not on my own computer)..

I see. Thanks for considering it :) Yeah, I know the precision problem. Suddenly blocks of solid color appear...
